How it began
The Blue Mountains Nurserymen’s Association fostered the inaugural meeting of the Blue Mountains Rhododendron Society held on April 2, 1969. Within 5 months the Society had decided to establish a Rhododendron Garden.

The Gardens are managed and maintained by the Blue Mountains Rhododendron Society of NSW Incorporated, a not-for-profit community organisation of volunteers with members throughout Australia.
